On the 17th of June, Manfred Nowak was invited by the University of Deusto in Bilbao to present the main findings and recommendations of the Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty. Manu Krishan and Elisa Klein from the Global Study Team presented the follow-up activities that have taken place since the publication of the Study. In total 15 projects started last August 2020, among them a toolkit reviewing practical examples of how States implement some of the recommendations covered in the Global Study in the context of migration. High level experts from the Basque government and legal practitioners attended this event and shared their experiences on the field within the Spanish context.
