The Australian Human Rights Commissioner invited Manfred Nowak to share the findings and recommendations of the Global Study during the launch in Australia, joined by countries from Oceania. The launch was followed by four roundtable discussions focusing on Australia, covering the topics International Law and the use of seclusion and restraint practices, children and immigration, criminal responsibility and youth justice reform and a discussion about the OPCAT (Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment).
