Deinstitutionalisation of Children with Disabilities in South East Europe

On February 16th, the Global Campus South East Europe and the ERMA Alumni Network held an online presentation of the students’ research conducted on the topic deinstitutionalisation of children with disabilities, which had a focus on Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, and Serbia. The main findings of this research were presented by GDSEE/ERMA students themselves, since the research was part of the Global Classroom 2020, which this year focused on the implementation of the recommendations of the Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty. In addition to the students presentation, Manu Krishan, Global Study Programme Manager at the Global Campus of Human Rights, presented the Global Study main findings and the follow-up dissemination activities of the Global Study program.
