Manfred Nowak and other child rights experts from UNICEF and the CRC Committee participated in a two-day planned workshop taking place during the 17th and 18th of February 2020. During the first day, panelists shared their expertise on children deprived of liberty in institutions, children detained with their parents, as well as children without parental care and children in armed conflict. During the second day, panelists focused on children in migration-related detention taking into account global and regional perspectives. After several panel discussions, participants were invited to work on drafting action plans on these thematic areas.
